"Candy Wars" is the seventh episode of season three of Raising Hope and the show's fifty-first episode overall. It originally aired on November 20, 2012 on Fox.
Plot[]
It's Radish Day in Natesville. The annual candy-selling fundraiser for the parade begins, with the prize of riding the Pilgrim Float at stake, and Jimmy wants Hope to win, but is surprised to find his parents unwilling to help.
He soon learns it's because they once helped him win the same fundraiser when he was a child, cheating and using Maw Maw's secret chocolate recipe, which started a deep, near war-like rivalry with Rosa.
Desperate to win for his daughter and finding Rosa's grandson in the running against Hope, he employs Maw Maw to once again produce her irresistible chocolate with bacon fat.
However, the feared escalation sets a new record for chocolate sales.

- Both twins who play Hope can be seen in the opening scene. Sabrina can be seen holding one, while the other is being held by an extra just behind the man behind Rosa.
- Cloris Leachman (who portrays Maw Maw) remains sitting throughout this entire episode. This comes after a two week absence from the show.
- The power plant behind the farmer with the giant radish is not a nuclear plant. Smokestacks can clearly be seen, indicating that it is in fact a coal plant.
