"Throw Maw Maw from the House (Part 2)" is the third episode of season three of Raising Hope and the show's forty-seventh episode overall. It originally aired on October 16, 2012 on Fox.

Plot

Virginia feels terribly guilty for letting Maw Maw be put into a home, as if she let her down, so the Chances plot to free Maw Maw from the nursing home and bring her back to the house.

The plan rests on Jimmy, who is set to pose as a great illusionist performing at the home, which will allow him to smuggle in his parents.

However, when they arrive and see the professional, devoted staff at work, Virginia decides that maybe Maw Maw is actually better off in the home, and they leave.

Later on, the social worker calls them and begs for their help as Maw Maw is holding her and a group of cats hostage.

Trivia

• In the beginning of the episode, one of the nurses says that Maw Maw claimed she "won an Oscar and slept with Warren Beatty". In real life, the actress who plays Maw Maw, Cloris Leachman, is actually an academy award winner.
• The nursing home Maw Maw is in is called "The Earl J. Hickey Memorial Nursing Home" and is located in Camden County. The home is named after the main character in My Name is Earl, a series that was also created by Raising Hope creator Greg Garcia.
• The title of this episode is a spin on the title of the 1987 film Throw Momma From the Train.
